Applications for scholarships to Native American students at UNM open

ALBUQUERQUE (New Mexico, United States): The University Libraries Indigenous Nations Library Program at the University of New Mexico (UNM) has opened applications for the Spring 2026 Michael and Enokena Olson Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship is given to support Native American undergraduate and graduate students with costs related to attending UNM. Applicants must be enrolled full-time and submit proof of tribal enrollment.

The scholarship helps reduce financial barriers, enabling students to focus more fully on their studies. Past recipients have credited the funding with bringing them closer to completing their degrees. The scholarship was established in memory of Michael and Enokena Olson by their children, and is administered through the Indigenous Nations Library Program.
