NEW DELHI (India): A meeting of the national executive committee of the Akhil Bharatiya Adivasi Vikas Parishad will be held in New Delhi on Sunday.

The meeting will be held at Bungalow No 8, Safdarjung Lane, 1.30 pm on March 29, 2026. The agenda for the meeting includes a discussion on the issue of the decision by the Government of Maharashtra to form a committee to examine the demand by Banjara community in the state for inclusion in the list of STs and on a memorandum to be submitted on the subject. Another item is submission of a memorandum seeking action against intrusion by non-tribals in Jharkhand.

A resolution is proposed to be moved on newspaper reports that DNA data of several tribes like Ghil, Meena, Garasia, Damor, Kathodi and Sahariya has been transmitted abroad without the consent of the tribal community. The organization said if true, this was a direct assault on the biological identity, traditional heritage and constitutional rights of the tribal communities.

Other items on the agenda include presentation of state-wise progress reports about registration of life members, discussion on the preparations for the organization’s 17th National Conference, election of state executive committees, finalization of the election dates to constitute the new national executive, and the status of educational institutions run under the banner of the Parishad.

The meeting will also discuss the atrocities on Kuki and Naga tribes in Manipur and the memorandum to be submitted to the state government in this regard.
