MANNDALEN, KAFJORD MUNICIPALITY (Troms County, Norway): Riddu Riddu, the international Indigenous people’s festival, will be held from 8th to 12th July, 2026, at Manndalen community in Kafjord municipality in Norway. This will be the 35th year of the festival.

The festival will feature various events, including musical concerts, performing arts, literature, youth camp, seminars, art exhibitions, market, and films, besides seminars, workshops, and a children’s festival. The festival is mostly outdoors.

Riddu Riddu was started in 1991 by a group of youth, and has since grown into one of the world’s most important meeting places for Indigenous peoples. Every year, the festival features artists, musicians, storytellers and audiences from around the world – Canada, Alaska, Taiwan and the Amazon.

The poster for this year’s festival is created by illustrator and graphic designer Kine Yvonne Kjær from Trollvik in Senja municipality. The poster honors the festival’s history and celebrates the diverse community that has grown there over the past 35 years. “The content is a tribute to the diversity of Indigenous peoples who have visited the Riddu plains over the past 35 years, where strong relationships have been created across borders,” she said.
