WAYANAD (Kerala, India): Member of Parliament Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Monday met scholars from the tribal communities in Wayanad.

During the meeting, she discussed the struggles of tribal children in understanding curriculum in a different language, culture and tradition. Later, taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Gandhi posted: “Scholars from tribal communities understand the struggles faced by children from their communities when they are expected to manage a general curriculum that does not incorporate their languages, culture and traditions. Listening to their views was very insightful.”

The meeting came during her visit to Wayanad along with her brother, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi. She represents Wayanad in the Lok Sabha.

Earlier, Rahul and Priyanka met the survivors of the Mundakkal and Chooramala landslides. They also laid the foundation stone of the houses that are to be built for the survivors.
